With our Brigade General having quite a few real life drama's to deal with and taking a leave of absence from Aion, the Abyss Fort siege time change and the mass exodus from our ranks, the officer's have decided on a new direction for Opulence until we have the numbers to get back into the fray. 

Soon we will pick a new stand-in Brigade General and we will begin a massive recruitment drive to fill our ranks once again. We also intend to start event nights for Opulence as a legion to get together for fun and team building. We would like to see more in-legion instance runs i.e. Tiamat Stronghold, Dragon Lord's Refuge, Satra, Hexway etc. 

I would like to thank all of you who have stuck with Opulence during this time and put in the effort to keep us going. We're a family here and we will get through this time and become the OP everyone remembers, only stronger.

Rules:
  • Potions, Scrolls, Food are allowed.
  • No DP or Candy allowed.
  • No flying.
  • Rounds are best out of 3.
  • Final will be best out of 5.
  • No buffs (i.e. Blessing of Stone/Health) will be permitted unless YOU are the caster, you may buff your partner.
  • All buffs will be manually removed after each ROUND.
  • There will be a 3 minute break after each group of matches before moving on giving time to strategize and change stigma's.

Overtime Rules:
  • Each round will have a timer of 3 min.
  • After the timer of 3 minutes ends and there HAS been a death, the team with the first death's round will be forfeit.
  • After the timer of 3 minutes ends and there HAS NOT been a death, you will go into sudden death. The team with the first person to die after the 3 minute timer round will be forfeit.

OP & the ELT have captured Divine Fortress once more! It must also be noted that OP had competition this time from another league. This was the fastest I've seen it captured as it occurred in under 30 minutes.

Thank you to the ELT, HKN, and the guests who have once again made it possible. Special thanks as well to Hyo for his diligence in reaching out to other legions who came to assist us and of course Balisk for being our raid leader once again for this capture. 

I want everyone to understand that this is only the beginning. We are closing in on the new legion member cap of 240, our Dragon Lord's Refuge alliances are working away on beating Tiamat, and we have been scheduling nightly events for rifting and PvP. 

I am also hoping to expand the Opulence reach  into competing for World Bosses very soon so if you're looking for an active legion or you've been in OP but not active for awhile, it's time to get involved and get moving with us cause we're going for it all.

Please remember, Divine is vulnerable on Tuesdays and Sundays and need large turnouts so we can hold what we have and work to ensure all ELT legions once again own an inner fortress.

Wow guys, we've done it! Balisk and I are eternally grateful for all of you who bought reset scrolls, for everyone who put off running the new 3.5 instances, and who ran their mains then logged in their alts and did it again!

I know you're all tired, but I now ask our officers to capitalize on this massive advantage we now have and recruit as much as possible. If we can climb to 240 active members, just think of what we can do!

At 8:21AM server time on October 12th 2012, Opulence became the 1st NA Level 7 legion on Tiamat!

We thank all of those who have done so much to make this possible. We're not all the way there yet but we are vastly in the lead. OP, the legion that makes things happen, is on top. 

Let's not forget how this feels and now let's bring it home. 1 more level to legendary status on Tiamat and bragging rights forever!

Because of an amazing turnout, the incredible generosity of our members who provided CD scrolls, Opulence became the very first level 6 legion on the server. 

We now have room for 180 members instead of 150 before. We have already had 4 new member applications.

I also expect to recruit the very best to OP this way. Let's become the most active legion on the server with 240 people, all OP! We can do so much more as a legion now.

I want OP to be the first LVL7 and LVL8 legion on the server as well and WE CAN DO THIS. This is bragging rights and access to the first legion mounts. 

We're already first in siege, let's take it all!

Not a single Asmodian in sight tonight. After the rout they received the previous night, not a single smoe spamed LFG, not a single group formed.

Then as if by magic, the dredgion got drunk. First time ever seen!

We are gamers. Regardless of the MMO, we all stand together when one of our own is lost to us. Therefore, I am saddened to report that on September 11th we lost, Sean Smith, a prominent diplomat and player within the MMO, EVE Online.

Sean worked as a State Department Official in Benghazi, Libya providing IT services to the consulate. The attacks killed 3 other Americans, including our U.S. Ambassador.  

The thoughts of Opulence are with the families of those who lost their lives and with those who continue in harms way during these most recent Middle East uprisings.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to lock and load and prepare for 3.5! Wow that was FAST!

We have much to do in order to be ready for something this huge. Our officers are going to need to work extra hard to ensure that OP makes the most of this opportunity. And we now need even more dedicated officers to manage a legion that could soon be as large as 240 members! If you're willing to put in this extra effort, please let Balisk or Daesadi know right away.

Not sure if you've noticed but OP is currently one of the most active legions in the top 50. We have more recruits and we're working harder to make sure they're all active ones to boot. Soon we will be competing against the Kitties and the Avalons and we're finally going to get our share.

We must all work to strengthen and continue building the ELT to ensure that the legion who has been fighting in the Abyss all these years continues to do so and continues to capture the fortresses that will really matter once more. Because afterall, no one does it better than we do and most of this server knows it. 

We are so unbelievably excited and hope that all of you are as well. OP is in a perfect position and we will certainly capitalize!

Happy Birthday everyone!

This is an occasion to be proud of. Opulence has turned 2 years old today!

Here are just a few of our accomplishments over the years:
1. One of only two Elyos Legions who have ever captured Divine Fortress.
2. OP has held Kysis Fortress longer than any other legion on the server.
3. We have captured both Ingisson Fortresses.
4. We have captured a Tiamantara Heart Fortress
5. We have captured and successfully defended every lower Abyss fortress.
6. We have captured and successfully defended ever upper Abyss fortress.
7. An Opulence alliance was in the league that captured both Gelk fortresses and defeated the Governor. Only the second time in North America.
8. Opulence was listed as a Top 50 legion for 6 months prior to the Vaizel/Zikel server merge.
9. OP has risen to #50 on the server's top legions chart once again just prior to our Bday!

However, we still have much unfinished and 3.5 is coming! With it, we will upgrade to a level 8 legion and our ranks will swell to 240 members.

We will continue to recruit those dedicated to Aion to join us and prepare for the next exciting chapter in this continually evolving MMO.

I always enjoy describing these epic nights when everyone in Opulence and the league unites and really fights as a team. Tonight was one of those nights that just left me shaking afterwards and that hasn't happened since we captured Divine.

The Asmos were hellbent on capturing Kysis tonight and they nearly did. The Asmodians began building their League around 8:45PM while at 9:30 the Elyos only had 9 people.

Luckily, people started pouring in soon after and by 9:40 Kysis was already under attack. Hellfire, and both Kysis artifacts fell to the Asmos immediately and they began attacking the meager force inside. The command was given to fall back to chokepoint #1 and we held the main force and obliterated their team sent in to knock out our kisks.

Eventually the Asmos were pushed back to hellfire and scouts were sent out to monitor the Asmos while our forces recaptured the Kysis artifacts and reset the cooldown timers. An attempt was made to recapture Hellfire but was turned back at the last moment because the entire Asmo force had gathered there and we were badly outnumbered. The night was not looking good for the Elyos.

Knowing the full force would swarm us as soon as vulnerability started, we sent small Opulence teams to both Kysis artifacts and a scout to monitor if they would attack Kysis directly or hit the artifacts on the way inside. The full force struck the chokepoint directly immediately after unleashing Hellfire on us but we Elyos responded with the Kysis artifact, both Firey Stacattos, and Restorative Grasp simultaneously in an effort to slow down and break up the massive Asmodian zerg bearing down on the Elyos forces in the Kysis chokepoint.

The instant the artis fired the OP forces raced back to the Kysis chokepoint and rejoined the fray. This battle must have lasted 10 minutes and was complete chaos but eventually every Admodian was destroyed and they were repelled.

At this point, OP's lead Gladiator, Omashoe, devised a plan to eliminate the Asmo kisks inside of Krotan to reduce their number of safe havens. A small OP force was assembled and they successfully divebombed Krotan, eliminated their protection force and the kisks were wiped out. This saved precious seconds while the Asmos were forced to rekisk on Hellfire.

While the strike force flew back to Kysis, the remainder of the League prepared for the coming onslaught of the regrouped Asmos from hellfire. There would be no help coming from artifacts and it would be a straight up battle against a much larger force.

At this time the call was sent up to the main Elyos league consisting of the current top 5 legions for some backup. However, that help would not be coming immediately as they were already engaged in a world boss fight. We were on our own for the moment and we still had 47 minutes of vulnerability. Dux was scrolled and we waited for the inevitable.

Regardless of the valiant effort, the tide of Asmos flowed right over us, wiping our kisks and sending us back to Teminon Landing. Often, this is when the Elyos give up and the League begins disbanding, but not this night.

Everyone reassembled and retook Hellfire, resetting it's cooldown so it wouldn't be used against us. Kysis artifacts were retaken and a battle for the courtyard began. Since it was nearly impossible for our dwindling force to strike them directly, we began to harry them, causing their less disciplined to pull off the Dux and fight us instead, thus further slowing down their progress on capturing the fortress.

Bugsy, Omashoe, Delryn, Balisk and Daesadi all flew suicide missions into the heart of the Asmo zerg to scroll the Dux each time they expired. A total of 8 scrolls had to be placed during this extremely long battle, each one running the clock out just a little longer. But their DPS was vicious and by this time only 25% of the Dux's health remained.

Several times Hellfire control changed hands, the final capture going to Opulence as just as the cooldown expired and once again the Asmodians lost the opportunity. As this moment Elyos reinforcements finally arrived and brilliant thinking on the behalf of Balisk realized the artifact cooldowns should be nearly up again for the two Staccatos and Restorative Grasp.

Opulence teams rapidly moved into positions on the upper artifacts and the core. The moment the timers allowed, all three of them rained down their glorious power on an Asmodian force certain of victory. Simultaneously, the entire might of the assembled Opulence Legion, the reinforcements, and our steadfast League rapidly obliterated them all.

Lastly, I want to take this opportunity to thank those of you who scout for us (dead or alive), those that sit patiently for long periods on artifacts waiting for the word to fire, those who track the Asmodian movements and relay that critical intel to the Raid Leader, and do all of the other little things that may not get the huge attention it deserves. YOU are why Opulence wins!

It was an incredible victory, and a shining example of why OP and the ELT NEVER quit! Nights like these are what it's all about. I thank all of you for your participation and...

I am absolutely elated to report to all of you and the annuals of OP history that we have finally captured Divine Fortress.

There are so may people to thank but first and most of all Kaelin, for her dedication and perseverance over the past few days in reaching out to countless legions, 8 of which joined to help tonight.

Huge thanks must also go to Balisk for leading what was referred to as "The smoothest attempt on Divine in a long time". Thanks also to Argonslayer and Pwnsurface for leading the 2 OP guest alliances tonight. Thanks as well to Holymac for sending tells to everyone asking them to join the League as well as to Sylvena for transforming during the siege.

And we must not overlook the amazing help give to us by our staunch ally Xen of Onslaught with Rune leading their forces.

OP wants to thank Solstice, TraUma, Arcane Angels, Xlaw, Time Warriors, Too Stronk, Terrifying Kitties, and the many guests who joined the League in this first successful capture of Divine since the merge into the Tiamat server. Ladylordfab and I are proud to announce the OP Inaugural 1v1 PvP Tournament tentatively scheduled to be held on Friday, July 13th beginning at 8:00PM.

This is of course a fierce competition for sweet lootz, but more importantly another opportunity to improve our PvP abilities and learn improved tactics vs. various player classes. We would like everyone to use this event to ask questions and learn from observing OP's most talented and most geared players.

Here are some of the details (more will be available as we near the date):
  • You must RSVP to this event in order to participate. Signup on the July 13th event on the legion calendar.
  • This Legion event is open to all OP members levels 50 & above
  • The champion will receive a cash prize of 50 million kinah!
  • If you are fighting, you must be solo. Grouping is not permitted.
  • Each bout will consist of 3 rounds. All potions are allowed, but no DP.
  • Glide is okay, but flight is not.
  • You will have approximately 4 minutes between rounds so use your cooldowns wisely.
  • You will receive 3 points for victory, 2 points for a draw, and 1 point for a loss.
  • This is not a single elimination tournament. You will fight multiple times depending on the number of participants.
  • The Championship bout will be decided among the two combatants with the most points.
  • The winner fights LadylordFab (Just so their head does not swell too much)
  • A runner-up Championship bout will occur before the main event. It will be between the the two members who finished 3rd & 4th in point totals and the winner receives 10m kinah!
  • You will have 2 minutes to discuss your upcoming bout with another OP member of your choosing.
  • The winner within each player class will be invited to become OP's PCM (Player Class Master) within their class if they are willing.
  • If you chose to participate, please be willing to skip dredges and instances this night so we're all together.
  • The event will be conducted in the Sanctum Arena.
  • Good sportsmanship will be required. No drama allowed. LadylordFab and Daesadi will act as your judges.

People don't know this... NCsoft doesn't... Asmos and other Elyos don't even know, but Kysis belongs to Opulence and always has! All others are no more than squatters, keeping it warm for us.

I'm very proud of you all and love fighting with you more than nearly anything. The way we've continually outclassed these Asmodians has been nothing short of EPIC. And I should know, as I've been doing it for years now. It never gets old watching them BURN under the might of OP's superior tactics.

I look forward to a very strong defense on Tuesday. You know what's next right? It's time for OP to capture Divine! It's very nearly our time to take the game's crown jewel fortress.

After much research, comparisons, and exhaustive testing with 4 separate providers... I feel ready to announce that Opulence will be moving its web hosting service to Enjin.com. Out of all the choices, this is by far the most Opulent, and you know... that's kinda our thing.

So welcome to the much improved site which I am certain will continue to improve over the next couple of months while we settle into our new home.

I'm bummed that everyone will be required to re-register, etc, but I think this is going to benefit OP hugely in the future, which is what you guys hired me to do in the first place. Oh wait, no one hired me and there's no paycheck, but who cares... it's what I do anyway.

I hope you'll find the site as useful as I do and will use it that much more in the future. Please let us know what you think and please pardon the construction mess.
